Course Details

The HP CloudSystem Foundation (H4C05) is a three-day course that equips students with the skills and knowledge to install, configure, and manage HP CloudSystem Foundation.

In this course, students will acquire an overview of OpenStack, explanation of terms, and architecture. This course covers administrator, user and designer tools.

This course is aimed primarily at administrators and users of HP CloudSystem Foundation. This course is 40% lecture and 60% hands-on lab.

  • Install CloudSystem 8 Client CLI
  • Using CloudSystem 8 Client CLI

Target Audience

Administrators, engineers and consultants who will:

  • Configure management server(s) for HP CloudSystem Foundation
  • Install HP CloudSystem Foundation
  • Configure networking and storage in HP CloudSystem Foundation
  • Deploy images and manage instances
  • Configure security and private keys for authentication


HP recommends that students have attained the following credentials or levels of experience before taking this course:

  • HP OneView Administration (H4C04)
  • HP Insight Control Server Provisioning (HL974)
  • HP Virtual Connect (HK758)

In addition, HP recommends that students are familiar with general networking terminology and basic network security concepts and have an understanding of one of the following operating systems:

  • Windows Server 2008, Windows Server 2008 R2 or Windows 7
  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux AS or Red Hat Enterprise Linux ES
  • vSphere 5.5
