Course Details
The HPE Helion OpenStack (H8Q14) training is a three-day course will take students through an in-depth look at the HPE Helion OpenStack v3.0. Course flow is optimized to address the high-level architecture and the HPE Helion OpenStack-specific features through the lectures.
The lab guide covers the HOS v3.0 installation, configuration, and maintenance, using the dedicated, HPE hardware-based environment for each student. The students will get a hands-on lab experience of many of the course topics, in order to get the experience in installation, management, and operation procedures of HPE Helion.
Objectives
After completing the Helion OpenStack training course, students will be able to:
- Understand the new installer and deployment architecture
- Utilize the Git-based repository to keep the track of configuration changes
- Install the HPE Helion OpenStack 3.0
- Use the Neutron Load Balancing as a Service (LBaaS)
- Understand Network configuration options, such as Neutron Role-Based Access Control (RBAC)
- Configure the HPE Helion OpenStack 3.0 for StoreVirtual VSA and StoreServ block storage
- Add and remove the StoreVirtual VSA storage to the HOS
- Add KVM based compute servers to the HPE Helion OpenStack 3.0
- Gracefully restart the HPE Helion OpenStack
