The ONPW – Optimizing Network Performance with Wireshark course teaches experienced Wireshark users, the techniques used to identify network performance problems. Using trace files from a complex meshed network with multi-tier client-server applications, students are shown how to identify the origins of performance issues.
Extensive lab exercises are used to teach students how to evaluate delay times in both the network links and in active network components. The course demonstrates the effects on the performance of typical application design errors, and the misconfigurations of servers, workstations and other network components.
Delegates also learn how to use the combination of Wireshark and MS Excel in order to calculate precise network throughput and delay times and create meaningful diagrams of these attributes.
